Compounds of formula (I): (where R2, R3 and r4 = H, Cl, or F, but at least one must be Cl or F; R1 = Cl-4C alkyl; n = 2-3, A = H and B = OH or A+B form a C=C bond). Preferred are (I) and (II) with R1 = Me or Et, R3 = Cl, R2 = R4 = H, and n = 2., esp. those where A = H and B = OH. Used as (a) Anoretics and antidepressants (dose: 35-300 mg. (n=3); 15-150 mg. (n=2) and diuretics (n=z) Dose : 50-500 mg. Preparation is, e.g. as follows:- X = Br or Cl.
