Electrochemical gas sensor

Electrochemical gas sensor is located in a closed housing with gas openings to measure gases in gas mixtures. To measure two different gases a first gas diffusion electrode (1) for the first reaction gas, which is inactive to the second reaction gas in a first potential window, and a second gas diffusion electrode (2) for the second reaction gas, which is inactive to the second reaction gas in a second potential window, are arranged in a housing. Both the gas diffusion electrodes are electronically separated from each other and galvanically joined to a reversibly charged electrode (3). The electrodes have contacts for joining outer closing circuits to adjust the cell currents.
