Abstract The invention relates to a plastic film bag (1) having a bag opening (12) with a bag opening edge (16), spaced apart from the upper edge (8) of the bag, a connecting area (38) intercon necting the plastic film front wall (2) and the plastic film rear wall (18) between the upper edges (8, 28) thereof and the bag opening edge (16), and a first adhesion area (40) which extends below the connecting area (38) on the inner face (32) of the plastic film rear wall from the first side edge (24) of the plastic film rear wall (18) up to the second side edge (26) of the plastic film rear wall (18), or a second adhesive area (42) which extends below the bag opening edge (16) on the inner face (20) of the plastic film front wall (2) from the first side edge (4) of the plastic film front wall (2) up to the second side edge (6) of the plastic film front wall (2). Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of the plastic film bag (1) according to the invention as a packaging container, in particular in the duty-free area, or as a fruit or vegetable carrying bag.
