Zusammenfassung:	A ventilation system 11 comprises: a refrigerant circuit 50 in which a compressor 42, a first heat exchanger 23, and a second heat exchanger 33 are connected by refrigerant piping 51, and in which a refrigerant circulates; an air supply fan 22 that supplies air from outdoors S2 to indoors S1 through the first heat exchanger 23; an exhaust fan 32 that exhausts air from the indoors S1 to the outdoors S2 through the second heat exchanger 33; and a control unit 16. The control unit 16 determines whether the air supply fan 22 and the exhaust fan 32 are in a normal state. If the control unit 16 determines that one of the fans 22, 32 is an abnormal state, the control unit stops such fan 22, 32 that has been determined to be in an abnormal state, and continues operation of the other fan 22, 32 that has been determined to be in a normal state.
