Zusammenfassung:	A heating vessel is described for heating water in a baby mode. A selection means is provided for entering the baby mode. There is a control means responsive to the selection means and a heating element operable to apply heat to water held in the heating vessel. A temperature sensor generates a temperature signal related to a temperature of the water. The control means is arranged in response to activation of the selection means, to switch on the heating element to heat the water to a boiling point that is sensed by the temperature sensor, and to switch off the heating element to allow the water to cool to a target baby mode temperature. An indicator is configured to provide an indication when the temperature sensor senses that the target baby-mode temperature is reached.
