Aircraft wings (100) include a spoiler (110) constructed substantially of a monolithic structural body (112) with an upper side that defines a portion of an airfoil surface of an aircraft wing (100). The monolithic structural body (112) further includes a lower side (116), opposite the upper side (114), that includes a plurality of stiffening ribs (120) that define a plurality of open voids (122). Methods of constructing a spoiler (110) for an aircraft wing (100) include forming a monolithic structural body (112) of the spoiler (110).
