A WEB BASED SYSTEM FOR VOICE AND VIDEO INTERNET TELEPHONY SERVICE PROVISIONING AND CLIENT SIDE CALLER ENDPOINT INSTANTIATION FOR CALL ESTABLISHMENT

Abstract There is provided a webserver for the voice and video internet telephony service provisioning and client side caller endpoint instantiation for call establishment, the webserver adapted for: telephony service provisioning comprising; receiving, from a telephony service requestor, a telephony service provisioning request comprising at least a call recipient endpoint; and storing, in a database, telephony service parameters comprising at least the call recipient endpoint in association with a telephony service requestor ID uniquely representing the telephony service requestor; and providing an HTML snippet comprising at least a caller endpoint instantiation URL; and client side caller endpoint instantiation for call establishment comprising: receiving, a caller endpoint instantiation request for the caller endpoint instantiation URL from a browser serving a web page comprising the HTML snippet; identifying the telephony service requestor ID in accordance with the call establishment request; selecting, from the database, at least one telephony service parameter from the telephony service parameters; and serving, to the browser, client side caller endpoint instantiation markup adapted for instantiating a browser enabled caller endpoint, wherein the caller endpoint is adapted for establishing a call between the caller endpoint and the call recipient endpoint in accordance with the at least one telephony service parameter.
