Zusammenfassung: | System for recovering and recycling acid mist (AM) generated in a plurality of electrolytic cells, with or without air sparging, which solves the technical problem of high energy consumption of the current method, in which system an extractor in each cell extracts the AM generated therein and conveys it individually to a first device for trapping electrolyte droplets and condensing the hazardous contaminating sulphuric acid vapours of the AM. With this system, the gaseous discharges from a plurality of first contaminant-trapping devices are collected in a manifold, and either said first devices are connected directly to a second multi-chamber device for condensing the acid waste vapours that have not been trapped, which is connected to a gas extractor system which exhausts said gas either directly to the atmosphere or to a chemical treatment system for purification prior to discharge; or alternatively, the manifold discharges directly to an extractor system, which in turn discharges either directly to a centralized waste gas and vapour scrubbing system, or to the atmosphere. The recovery and recycling system further comprises a system for collecting condensates for reuse in the process and two systems for the measurement, control and regulation of AM extraction flows, one in each cell, and the other for the whole of the AM recovery and recycling system. |
