Retracting mechanism for an extensible part that is guided so as to be longitudinally movable in a furniture carcass

Disclosed is a retracting mechanism (5) for an extensible part (3) that is guided so as to be longitudinally movable in a furniture carcass (2). Said retracting mechanism (5) comprises an energy accumulator which is tensioned when the extensible part is opened and whose accumulated energy is released and is transmitted to the extensible part (3) as a retracting force from a constructively predefined pushed-in position of the extensible part (3). The inventive retracting mechanism (5) is embodied such that a permanent magnet system (6, 7) encompassing a permanent magnet (6) and an oppositely poled piece (7) made of a magnetizable material or a second permanent magnet (7) is supplied in addition to the energy accumulator in order to boost the effective retracting force in a certain retracted position. One component (6, 7) of said permanent magnet system is mounted on the furniture carcass (2) while the other component (6, 7) is mounted on the extensible part (3) such that the contact surfaces thereof extend perpendicular to the pushing direction when the contact surfaces meet when the extensible part is pushed in while being movable parallel to each other when the extensible part (3) is pulled out of the closed position.
