Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve electrical power saving in a GMPLS-controlled network by reducing electric power consumption in normally unused standby paths in a network system controlled by a GMPLS.SOLUTION: When a path is set, power saving capability of each interface is taken into account to compute the paths, and an applicable interface is set to a power-saving state when a standby system path is set. At the same time, when the standby system path is activated, the power-saving state of the applicable interface is canceled so that power consumption of the interface is reduced.
