description Appropriate heating of the parts to be soldered and of the solder is essential for correct, moisture-proof soldering. However, the physical electrical elements which are located under the lead sheath of the cable must not exceed specific maximum temperatures, in the long term. In order now to dissipate the heat losses produced during soldering, a flexible cooling tube 6, which surrounds the lead sheath, is provided in the area from the applied lead sheath 11 on the cable core 12 to the widened lead sheath 11, during the soldering operation. Liquid carbon dioxide flows through this flexible cooling tube. The cooling system according to the invention allows those parts which need to be soldered during production of an inner metallic cable sleeve 10 to be heated to the soldering temperature, and also ensures that the cable and sleeve elements do not suffer any damage in the area of the solder point 13.
