Zusammenfassung: | The current research deals with the very nature and importance of silent reading, manifestation of its objectives in supporting the learners, and the key types used in the educational settings along with the practice approaches. The research presents also the key skills of silent reading following criterion-based classifications accompanied by elaboration on the shortcomings involved. Moreover, the research emphasizes that individuals and learners have a sufficient silent reading, that is to say, they are willing to read without wasting time or effort. Additionally, an elaboration of sufficient silent reading criteria through a discussion of sufficient silent reading measuring techniques is furnished in this research. |
