description This study employs new tools in the reading of classical texts composed in “the art of oration”. The research discusses sermons of Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) using new tools, innovative questions and objectives. But the purpose of this study is not to juxtapose the old with the new as much as it is to build on an attempt to answer the question of what elements of persuasive oral rhetoric can be detected in the sermons of Aisha (The Mother of the Believers)? Although this study starts with this question, this exploration answers it in two sections. The first is to review the various kinds of persuasive arguments. The second section discusses the styles of oration through their linguistic components and their discursive structure. The research reached a number of results. The most important of which is that Aisha relied on persuasion because her sermons encompass three significant foundations of public oration which are using efficiently persuasive rhetoric, composing aesthetically styled forms and being conscious of the reaction of the audience.
