The number of main roads linking the above mentioned provinces to the rest of Iraq is about (41) roads and they are constantly increasing. The length of these roads were about (1495 km) in 2019 , but they are still below the desired level. Therefore, it was necessary to draw a planning policy in the study area, as it really needs a planning process through which the available capabilities are studied and utilized in improving the economic, social and cultural conditions.
