Specific transactions that would occur between Grand Forks AFB and the PO as part of the Proposed Action are as follows Grand Forks AFB would convey 833 MFH units to the PO. Grand Forks AFB would grant 50-year leases for two parcels of land: Parcel 1 (325.44 acres) consists of MFH neighborhoods and Parcel 3 (1.29 acres) consists of a dog park. In addition, the existing Holly neighborhood boundaries would be modified by removing a small portion of undeveloped land on the western and northern border of that neighborhood. Grand Forks AFB would grant up to a 6-year lease for one parcel of land: Parcel 2 (74.97 acres) consists of the Holly MFH neighborhood. All housing units and associated infrastructure in Parcel 2 are scheduled for demolition. Upon successful completion of the demolition of the 286 surplus, inadequate units in the Holly neighborhood, Parcel 2 would be returned to the Government and the lease of this parcel would be terminated. The PO would continue use of 547 units in their present condition. No new unit construction is anticipated. |
