Zusammenfassung:This study was conducted to determine the probability of a consequential hazardous substance spill in the St. Marys River area as a result of navigation in both winter and non-winter periods. Specifically, the project develops estimates of the numerical probability of a spill occurring on the St. Marys River and in Whitefish Bay, and the probable type and magnitude of such a spill. The estimates were calculated for the following shipping seasons; 1 April - 15 December; 1 April - 15 January; 1 April - 14 February; 25 March - 15 December; 18 March - 15 December; and Year-round.
