Molecular Beam Studies of Graphite Oxidation

A facility has been constructed to study graphite oxidation (and other gas-surface reactions) by molecular beam and mass spectrometry techniques. Reaction kinetics and thermodynamics are discussed, and surface reactions and processes are described.
