Histology shows that air spray is more traumatic to pulp tissue than air-water coolant. Now a new standardized experimental procedure adds evidence that air-cooling actually alters the nature of dentine in a cavity preparation. Pub. in. Dental Progress v3 n3 p138-144, Apr 1963.
