Zusammenfassung:An 88-year-old man reffered to Emergency section of Persian Gulf Martyrs hospital, in Bushehr with clinical impression of upper GI bleeding & severe anemia. In the endoscopy section he became agitated during removal of his NG tube and nurse reported that he felt resistance during extraction of his NG tube. After the removal of a NG tube revealed a distal tight simple knot is observed at the distal end rigid tube. After evaluation by upper endoscopy & barium meal disclosed that he is a case of acute gastric volvulus which is a rare & potentially life threatening disease. We believe that anatomic changes due to gastric volvulus are the cause of his knotted NG tube.
