Prospective mental imagery in depression: Impact on reward processing and reward-motivated behaviour

This review provides a selected update of the literature on prospective mental imagery. Prospective mental imagery might decrease depression via reward processing and reward-motivated behaviours. Suggestions for future research to investigate these hypotheses are provided.
