Zusammenfassung: | Brucelossis is a zoonosis, a disease transferable to people, with a potential serious effect on human health. In 2008, a diagnostic survey of brucelossis in small ruminants in Bosnia and Herzegovina was carried out. In this survey, 359.124 animals were examined, and 19.192 or 5,4% of them were positive on brucelossis. The survey showed a higher prevalece then was expected based on the results of the previous surveys, so the national strategy for brucelossis eradication based on the extensive vaccination, was created (5). The aim of this survey was to, based on the existing statistical information, verify if the prevalence of brucelossis in ruminants decreased by the end of 2012 in the Una–Sana Canton. All collected samples were divided in two groups. The first group consisted of the samples from 2008 and 2009, before and after the extensive vaccination of the small ruminants was implemented by Law. The second group consisted of the samples from 2010, 2011 and 2012, when the animal vaccination was implemented. In the first group, a total of 78.193 samples were examined, and 2.930 or 3,74% were positive. In the second group, a total of 65.044 samples were examined, and 196 or 0,30% were positive. Keywords: brucelossis, vaccination, samples. |
