Zusammenfassung:History shows us that the training of technicians was developing to support the capitalist mode of production. In this context, the training of teachers for Vocational and Technological Education is no exception and their limited offer by the Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia represents this reality. This paper deals with the case of teacher training and nursing technicians as example of the weakness of idealizing and implementing a Universal and public health system, while allowing the majority of health professionals to be trained in private institutions, by teachers trained in private schools. It is an analytical study based on the triangulation of sources, where public policies for professional education are confronted with the interpretation of data generated by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP) and by the Research Profile of Nursing in Brazil done of the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) in partnership with the Conselho Federal de Enfermagem (COFEN).
