Zusammenfassung: | The ascending thoracic aortic aneurysm, when combined with aortic dissection, led to a critical medical condition requiring emergent and suitable action. Through this report we presented a high-risk 91-year-old patient with ascending aorta aneurysm (a 7.5 cm aneurysm was observed along with type II aortic dissection in the ascending aorta and aortic arch) with moderate tricuspid regurgitation and moderate to severe aortic insufficiency who underwent external aortic root support with a reduction in diameter of the aneurysm. According to our technique we reduced the mean arterial pressure to 35 mm Hg to prevent rupture of the aneurysm and in our modification, diameter of aneurysm also reduced by tightening of vertical sutures which cause reduction in diameter from 7.5 cm to 4 cm which led to amelioration of severity of aortic insufficiency. |
