Increasing midwifery capability on maternal health service

This study aimed to determine the differences in midwives’ knowledge, attitudes, motivation and abilities regarding maternal health care after an intervention. This was an experimental research study with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design with a control group. The sample of this study was 66 midwives in Jeneponto Regency; 33 midwives comprised the control group, and 33 comprised the treatment groups. The sampling technique was purposive. This study was conducted at six primary health care in Jeneponto Regency. This study shows that there were differences between the midwives in the treatment and control groups in mean knowledge, motivation, attitude and ability regarding health care for pregnant women before and after health education (p
