Zusammenfassung:The paper describes the history of formation and development of the scientific school "Physical chemistry of information registration and creation of new functional materials". The main areas of research in different years are presented. The main scientific results obtained by the researchers who worked on the synthesis and study of photographic silver halide materials are revealed. The basic challenges of photographic science at various times are presented. The chronologic effect on the subject and the tradition of scientific research are shown. The reasons for the shift of research topics to the synthesis and research of photocatalysts on the base of nanostructured heterophase photoactive systems are disclosed.
