Zusammenfassung:n Morona Santiago, the cattle farming, is one of the main agricultural activities. Since colonization, its people have sought to improve the grasslands that are used as livestock fooder. Arachis Pintoi is a fodder legume that not only contribute with the nutritional quality of beef cattle diet; also, it is used as green manure, vegetation coverage of perennial plantations, and as a way to moderate the soil erosion, therefore, they want to improve Arachis Pintoi production. To assess the incidence of sunlight in the production of Arachis Pintoi in Morona Santiago Canton is the aim of this research. To achieve the results it was used an experimental design completely at random, in which were performed three measurements in order to get height and biomass production in three cultivated plots. Two plots were covered with “saran”. This texture permitted 50% of incidence of sunlight on one of them and 20% on the other one. The third plot was exposed to 100% of sunlight. The analysis of results according to ADEVA, determined that as incidence of sunlight increase on the crop of Arachis Pintoi, the height and biomass production decrease. The averages obtained forty-five days after the cut of the crops were: with 20% of sunlight a height of 24,53 cm. while the plants exposed to 50% and 100% of sunlight got a height of 20,7 y 13, 1 cm each. The results about biomass production were similar, with 20% of sunlight was obtained an average of 7,84 metric tons per hectare per year; with the 50% was obtained 6,96 tonne/ha/year, and with the 100% the performance was 6,63 tonne/ha/year. En Morona Santiago la ganadería de carne es una de las principales actividades agropecuarias. Desde la colonización su gente ha buscado mejorar los pastos que sirven de alimento al ganado. El Arachis Pintoi es una leguminosa forrajera que no solo contribuye con la calidad nutritiva en la alimentación de los bovinos, además sirve como abono verde, cobertura vegetal de plantaciones peremnes y como una forma de control para la erosión del suelo, por lo tanto, se necesita mejorar su producción. Evaluar la incidencia de la luz solar en la producción forrajera del Arachis Pintoi en el cantón Morona es el propósito de esta investigación. Para la obtención de los resultados se utilizó un diseño experimental completamente al azar, en el que se realizaron tres mediciones de la altura de la planta y de la producción de biomasa en tres parcelas de cultivo.
