Metodología para toma de decisiones en el campo administrativo de las universidades públicas

The university is the social institution whose general function is to preserve, develop and promote the culture of society, fundamentally through the training of professionals. Said in this way, it is understood that it fulfills its true social function to the extent that it meets the demands that society demands of it. In this perspective, the present research presents a critique of the way in which the organizational structures of Ecuadorian universities are inserted into the tendencies to change to adapt to the new management approaches supported by technology, to break the bureaucracy and the pyramid structure that allow you to make decisions with greater efficiency and productivity. The main objectives of the study involve, in a first phase, diagnosing the current situation of the administrative management of the universities, and in a second phase, proposing a methodological model of administrative management that manages to reverse the identified problem. We worked with a sample of 10 expert professionals from the different Universities of Ecuador, to whom the Delphi method was applied to collect and process the information. The research results mainly reflect that the universities are managed through outdated and incomplete administrative processes and with highly political criteria. Thus, at the end of this study, an administrative management model is proposed to support decision-making in higher education institutions that are making an effort to transform and respond to contemporaneity.
