Zusammenfassung:Eating disorders (ED) are characterized as diseases marked by changes in eating behavior and have a multifactorial etiology. Concomitantly, body image is an important component of the mechanism of personal identity and corresponds to satisfaction and feelings related to the mental figure of the body. In the TA's scenario, anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN) are the most common, and studies show that university students in health courses are more susceptible to their development. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the prevalence of eating disorders associated with body image disorder, in university students in the health field at a community university in the northern region of Rio Grande do Sul. This was carried out through an electronic form sent to e institutional email from students, presenting demographic, socioeconomic, anthropometric questions, the Eating Attitudes Test - EAT-26 questionnaire and the Stunkard Silhouettes Scale. 125 university students were evaluated, 90.4% of the sample was composed of women with a prevalent age group of 21 to 45 years old (55.2%). Regarding nutritional status, 66.1% of students were eutrophic. As for the risk of developing TA'S and body dissatisfaction, 31% of students were at risk and 63.5% were dissatisfied, respectively. It was identified that students who are at risk for developing ED, also have a higher BMI average, in addition to 43% of them having body dissatisfaction with being overweight. Thus, it is important to explore the determinants of the results found, promoting actions that can intervene in the nutritional and psychological losses of individuals.
