Utcerative cotitis is a chronic inflammatory bowet disease of idiopathic etiology and muttifactoriat pathophysiotogy. It is characterized by inflammation of the rectat mucosa with proximat, continuous and symmetricat extension through the coton. Its diagnosis is estabtished based on ctinicat, endoscopic and histotogicat findings. The therapeutic goat is to achieve ctinicat and endoscopic remission, reduce the risk of cotectomy, cotorectat cancer and improve quatity of tife of patients.
