Scuola e sport in Italia durante il ventennio fascista. Un profilo storico-istituzionale

Un recente filone storiografico ha iniziato a guardare alla scuola e allo sport in modo nuovo, individuando questi due ambiti d’indagine come elementi sintomatici per studi comparati di più ampio respiro. La ricerca ha approfondito l’evoluzione del rapporto tra scuola e sport durante il ventennio fascista, cercando di cogliere anche analogie e divergenze tra la fine e l’inizio dell’esperienza totalitaria italiana. Lo studio si è concentrato, in modo analitico, su istituzioni come l’ENEF, l’ONB e la GIL anche attraverso uno sguardo propriamente pedagogico. Particolare attenzione è stata dedicata alla storia normativa, politica e istituzionale al fine di cogliere appieno il ruolo chiave dell’educazione fisica all’interno della macchina della propaganda messa in atto dal fascismo per la costruzione del consenso. A recent historiographical tendency started to analyse the questions of schooling and sport under a brand new perspective, considering these two features as the key elements for comparative studies of larger breath. The research has analysed in deep the evolution of the relationship between schooling and sport during the fascist Ventennio, also trying to retrieve analogies and differences between the end and the beginning of the Italian totalitarian regime. This study centred itself on institutions like ENEF, ONB and GIL, also from an educational point of view. A particular has been dedicated to the normative, political and institutional history with the purpose of fully retrieving the key role of the physical education within the propagandistic mechanism of the Fascism for the consensus building.
