To determine the specificity and sensitivity of the assays, a series of multiplexed hybridization reactions were performed. Four different biotinylated complementary oligonucleotides (, and ) were hybridized at different concentrations (0, 0.1, 0.316, 1, 3.16, 10, 31.6, 100 fmol) to eight different sequence-specific microsphere sets. The data demonstrate undetectable cross-hybridization. intestinal calcium-binding protein, or calbindin 3; 17α-hydroxylase cytochrome P450; cyclophylin B or peptidylprolyl isomerase B.
