Zusammenfassung:This repository contains the following:Piecewise Potential Vorticity Inversion (PPVI) codePost-processed analyzed filesPlotting scriptsFiguresThe original PPVI code was provided by Professor Chun-Chieh Wu's group at National Taiwan University which was used in the publicationWu, C., T. Huang, W. Huang, and K. Chou, 2003: A New Look at the Binary Interaction: Potential Vorticity Diagnosis of the Unusual Southward Movement of Tropical Storm Bopha (2000) and Its Interaction with Supertyphoon Saomai (2000). Mon. Wea. Rev., 131, 1289–1300, https://doi.org/10.1175/1520-0493(2003)1312.0.CO;2The PPVI code is written in Fortran 90, Python, and C-Shell and has been modified by Jan-Huey Chen and Tyler Barbero. See "Documentation.md" for a detailed guide of the PPVI code. Post-processed files are in .nc and .txt formats. Python scripts are provided to reproduce each figure in the current publication. How to cite the current publication:Barbero, T. W., Bell, M. M., Chen, J.-H., & Klotzbach, P. J. (2024).
