Zusammenfassung: | The open seminar “Honor, Violence and Women in the Spanish Literature: from the Middle Ages to the 21st century” offers an overview of the literary representation of the relationship between violence against women and the patriarchal concept of honor, which, over the centuries, has imposed a cultural model in which the silence of the victims is promoted. Authors who reproduce, authors who denounce and authors who subvert these structures through fiction, as well as the socio-historical contexts that make them possible, are the subject of analysis by several specialists in Spanish literature who intervene in this open seminar organized by Sara Santa Aguilar, from the Università degli Studi di Milano, and the Cervantes Institute of Milan. |
