description | This document reports the findings of a program of work undertaken to develop a national infrastructure framework for the support of advanced analytics for healthcare research.
The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC), in collaboration with the Australian Data Science Network (ADSN), consulted with stakeholders to identify the needs, aspirations and challenges of advanced analytics in healthcare.
Based on the synthesis of findings, the Framework for Advanced Analytics National Infrastructure in Healthcare Research was developed, and key recommendations were proposed to address identified gaps and needs in Australia's advanced health analytics infrastructure. The recommendations are aimed at creating an Australian Harmonized Approach (AHA) to health data analytics research infrastructure.
A pathfinder project (targeted proof of concept / demonstrator) was carried out in parallel to explore and implement specific federated learning, as implementaon challenges also needed to be explored and a federated learning network needed to be built. Read the report.
We welcome your feedback on the report. Your input will help us understand the views of research, policy and research infrastructure communities relating to advanced analytics in healthcare. Complete the feedback form.
Also watch a recording of our launch event for the framework, where we delved into the framework’s development, discussed its key recommendations and explored how it can support advanced health analytics in the coming years. |
