Zusammenfassung: | These data were collected to determine how objects or landmarks influence activity in hippocampal CA1 and CA3 neurons. The data consists of spike recordings that include time and position stamps from up to 620 neurons recorded simultaneously in the CA1 and CA3 regions of rats that were freely foraging in an arena. The experiment was conducted both with and without a distinctive object present. The dataset is a mix of tetrode (“microdrive”) and probe (Neuropixels 2.0) recordings collected from 10 male Long-Evans rats. The data can be reused to further determine activity structure in hippocampal CA1 cells during foraging in simple structured environments. |
