description Biomass-derived phenols has been considered an excellent platform molecule, which can be converted into valuable products for the biorefinery industry. The catalytic amination of phenolics under reductive conditions is a key route to a variety of secondary amines, for which the use of heterogeneous catalysts and reaction condition (various: phenol concentration, amine concentration, hydrogen pressure, temperature and substituted phenols) play a central role. In this dataset, we report on the liquid phase amination of phenolics (such as, phenol, o-cresol, p-cresol, methoxyphenol) with cyclohexylamine (CyA) under H2 atmosphere over commercial Pd/C and Rh/C catalysts. The experiments were performed under batch conditions during 6 hours, at different temperatures (100 - 140°C), for hydrogen pressures ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 bar and varying the initial concentration of the amine and phenol between 0.1 and 0.40 mol/L. In addition, a dataset and figures on the characterization of the catalysts by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDX), Brunauer- Emmett-Teller, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature programmed reduction (TPR) are also reported. Finally, an excel file explaining the calculation of kinetic parameters is also provided with a complete description of the mathematical functions and procedures for processing reaction data gathered under dynamic conditions. The data is organized in two folders: Catalyst Characterization: Include figures, equipment reports and raw data on characterizations. Catalytic assays: Includes raw GC data, *.xls files with processed data and an excel file with the kinetic assessment.
