Zusammenfassung:The dataset deals with a laboratory investigation of an innovative stabilization technology for road unbound layers. The product is a Synthetic Fluid (SF) based on isoalkane and tall oil. Untreated aggregates (Unbound Granular Material, UGM) are also tested for comparison purpose. Two laboratory tests are performed: Repeated Load Triaxial Test (RLTT) and a modified version of Rolling Bottle Test (RBT). A total of 8 samples (4 parallel samples) are created and tested with RLTT; among these specimens, 2 samples are also tested with RLTT before and after the exposure to 10 Freeze-Thaw (FT) cycles. A total of 84 samples are created and tested with the modified version of RBT. This dataset reports raw data and pictures for all the tested samples. RLTTs are performed following the code “EN 13286-7 Cyclic load triaxial test for unbound mixtures” according to Multi-Stage Low Stress Level (MS LSL) testing procedure. The spreadsheets showing the RLTTs results report the dynamic stress and the triaxial stress exerted in the testing device and the axial strains and the radial strains measured by a total of six Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs). Three different application percentages of the synthetic fluid are investigated (SF-1, SF-2, SF-3) with presence of water (w=1%). UGM samples are tested in dry condition (w=0%). The 2 SF-1 samples are also tested in dry condition (w=0%) after and before the exposure to 10 FT cycles. The modified version of RBT described by the code “EN 12697-11 Determination of the affinity between aggregate and bitumen” pivots on weighing the mass of aggregates completely covered by the synthetic fluid before and after rotations for fourteen different time intervals: 1 h, 2 h, 3 h, 4 h, 5 h, 6 h, 8 h, 10 h, 12 h, 14h, 16 h, 20 h and 24 h. Uncoated aggregates are also tested for comparison purpose.
