description | The dataset was used in a cross-sectional study aimed at examining the relationship between EI and sleep quality among undergraduate university students in Southern Italy. This study took place between the 13th and 28th of February 2023 in a representative sample of Italian university students of one public university in the Calabria Region. The information is collected through an online questionnaire that is filled in by respondents. The online survey was sent via institutional email. An anonymous and structured questionnaire was used, comprising four sections.
The first section of the questionnaire contained questions related to socio-demographic information, including gender, age, and major attended. Furthermore, each participant was questioned about whether they had any chronic diseases and, if yes, which ones. Sleep quality was investigated in the second section through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The EI was measured by the Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS) in the third section. Following the WHO-recommended standardized question "How is your health in general?", perceived health status was assessed in the last part of the survey. |
