This paleoceanographic dataset includes :
Linear sedimentation rates between radiocarbon dates reconstructed using Oxcal software
XRF data for the elements Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Bromine (Br), Titanium (Ti) and Potassium (K) in counts per second (cps). Measurements were taken using an ITRAX core scanner.
Total organic carbon (TOC) concentration in percent (%) using a Thermo Flash 2000 elemental analyzer.
The relative abundance of the planktonic foraminifera Pulleniatina obliquiloculata in percent (%).
Benthic foraminifera accumulation rate (BFAR; ind g-1 cm-2 kyr-1).
A table of all benthic foraminifera taxa identified, with the number of individuals and relative abundance of each taxa.
The relative abundance of the different biofacies (31 taxa with abundance greater than 5% in at least two samples).
Bottom - pore water dissolved oxygen concentration reconstructed using benthic foraminiferal transfer functions: Enhanced Benthic Foraminifera Index (EBFOI; Kranner et al., 2022) and Benthic Foraminifera Assemblage (BFA; Tetard et al., 2021). The terms “EBFOI_31” and “BFA_31” indicate the use in the transfer functions of the 31 taxa with an abundance greater than 5% in at least two samples. The terms “EBFOI_27” and “BFA_27” indicate the use in transfer functions of 27 taxa with abundance greater than 5% in at least two samples, taxa that may originate from a bathymetric zone shallower than the sediment core location have been removed from the equations. |
