Zusammenfassung: | This cross sectional survey was self-administered to outpatients with chronic illness who were receiving medications at Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki (AE-FUTHA), Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The collected dataset were to; (1) assess patient’s level of knowledge, behavioral pattern, belief, perception and medication non-adherence; (2) determine the correlation that exist among patient’s related factors that influence non-adherence to medication such as knowledge, belief, perception, and behavioral pattern; (3) assess and establish patient’s need for adherence intervention tool and (4) evaluate patient’s intention to use mhealth to improve adherence. It is expected that this dataset would help to develop a medication assessment and adherence intervention system. In addition, it could aid a design of intelligent non-adherence prediction model. |
