Avifauna occurrence data for Arabuko Sokoke Forest in Kenya

This publication presents a set of occurrence records of bird species observed in Arabuko Sokoke Forest in coastal Kenya between June 2012 and May 2013. The survey conducted lists 1264 records all bird individuals observed and their geo-reference positions within the primary forest, neigbouring plantation forest and farmland. Publication of this data adds to the global database on the avian community to advance research on avian species distribution modeling, for the understanding of the effect of land use and climate change on the avian community at local, regional and global scales.
