The elute was separated with reversed-phase column (SUMIPAX ODS A-210MS) and measured by mass spectrometry operated in the ESI-positive mode. The collection efficiency of irgarol 1051 on C-18 cartridge was 97-100 %. The method detection limit was 0.05 ng/l and relative standard deviations of repeated analysis were in the range of 3.7-6.1 %. The method was applied to the environment seawater samples in the Osaka Bay. The concentrations of irgarol 1051 were in the range of 0.4.3.6 ng/l.
