The study revealed that a web of relationships or linkages existed between the university and ADP staff, most of whom were males, well-qualified and experienced in research and extension activities. Funds for research were available to staff of both systems but mainly from personal and institutional sources. There was evidence of sufficient awareness of the major types of linkages used in sharing research knowledge. Also staff of both systems freely utilized and shared a number of linkage arrangements for their mutual research benefits.
