The Source of Archaeological Obsidian from a Pre-Pottery Neolithic B Site at Yiftahel, Israel

The PPNB site of Yiftahel in Lower Galilee, has yielded 8 pieces of obsidian. These obsidians were analysed by instrumental neutron activation analysis. Their provenience seems to be the Göllu Dag area attesting cultural contacts between the Lower Galilee and central Anatolia. Le site PPNB de Yiftahel en Basse Galilée a livré 8 pièces en obsidienne. Ces obsidiennes furent analysées par activation neutronique. Leur provenance semble être le Göllu Dag attestant des contacts culturels entre la Basse-Galilée et l'Anatolie Centrale.
