The goal of the review is to provide an insight into its phytochemical profile and its therapeutic potential in metabolic diseases. The plant as a whole possess plethora of uses such as, neuroprotective activity, antidiabetic activity, anticancer activity, antihypertensive and lipid lowering activity. Various study reports its safety in preclinical and clinical setup.
