As the number of epidural anaesthetics for patients in labour increases in most obstetric units around the country the incidence of forceps and, in particular, rotational forceps delivery, also appears to increase. Prolonging the second stage of labour encourages spontaneous delivery and we describe a plan of management for such patients with epidural analgesia. |
