Zusammenfassung: | Pemphigus foliaceus is an immune-mediated disease characterized by the formation of autoantibodies directed against epidermal intercellular junctions. Conventional treatments include the administration of immunosuppressive doses of glucocorticoids. The objective of this work is to present a cat with a histopathological diagnosis of pemphigus foliaceus that, due to its pre-existing cardiac pathology, was treated with oclacitinib (Apoquel®, Zoetis, Buenos Aires, Argentina), a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor in order to avoid long-term side effects of oral corticosteroids. |
