Zusammenfassung: | This study investigated changes in pulse wave before and during periodontal surgery as one of the vital signs affected by stress. We evaluated parameters in 55 patients (25 males and 30 females). A periodontic specialist, who already had experience with more than 400 cases of peri-odontal surgery, performed 103 periodontal surgical operations on these patients. Pulse waves (systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, rate pres-sure product, stroke volume and cardiac output) were recorded at ten minute intervals by automatic monitor.
