A New Method of Solving the Problem of the Vibration of Plates

The general solution of the equation of the vibration of plates is formed by a series of Bessel functions and circular functions in polar co-ordinates. Frequencies of a rectangular plate calculated by this method showed good results, and frequencies of a triangular plate were calculated anew.
