Capturing Sharp-Tailed Grouse Hens by Using Taped Chick Distress Calls
A combination of recorded chick distress calls and mist nets was used to capture five sharp-tailed grouse hens (Pedioecetes phasianellus campestris) with chicks from less than 1 day to 6 weeks of age. One hen was captured twice and another three times.
